Four children’s annuals were produced in the UK for Buck Rogers by World Distributors Ltd. These for the most part contained reprints from the American Whitman comics that were based upon the series. Annuals appeared for 1981, 1982, 1983 and 1984.
Mego produced a range of nine 3-inch high action figures based on the series in 1979. Most of the figures Twiki being the exception featured ten points of articulation. Necks could twist, shoulders and elbows could bend, as could hips and knees, along with the waist. The figures appearing in the range were: Buck Rogers, who came dressed in his Earth Defence Directorate uniform. Twiki, Buck’s Robot sidekick came complete with Dr Theopolis around his neck. Wilma Deering was also represented in her uniform. Next up were figures of Killer Kane, Princess Ardella, Dr Huer, Tiger Man (Ardella’s bodyguard), a Draconian Guard and Draco.
In the UK the long-running children’s magazine/comic Look In (often referred to by its publishes as the Jr TV Times) contained a weekly strip story based on the series, starting in September of 1980. The series had had previous mentions in the magazine as part of various features in previous issues.
