1977 Denys Fisher Catalogue

Trade Catalogue for the General Sales Division of Denys Fisher. Shows much of the range of Toys that the firm would be producing that year.

The cover features the New Avengers. Inside are all sorts of products relating to this, Dr Who and others, such as the Generation Game and It’s a Knockout games produced by the firm.

There is quite as selection of James Hunt items, as he had just won the F1 World Championship the previous year.

Featured in this catalogue are the New Avengers dolls of Purdey, Steed and Gambit. Of which only the Purdey doll was to see production.  Though not quite in the form promoted here , as it was to originally have had a push button leg kick action. The unissued steed figure was to have had a fencing lunge move with an umbrella that converted to sword, while Gambit was to have had a Karate chop type move. (It is believed that Steed and Gambit may have seen a limited issue in South Africa , for more details visit the Mego online museum)

Also shown are the New Avengers board game and Shooting game in their prototype forms. ( I wonder what happened to them)

The range of Doctor Who doll is illustrated showing the Dalek, Cyberman, Giant Robot, TARDIS, Doctor and Leela figures that appeared in the Range. Also the Doctor Who and War of the Daleks board games are shown.

A range of Dolls for the BBC hospital series Angels are also shown with a hospital ward for the nurses. Was this ever issued?

Several Batman toys based on the Sixties TV series (which was still being shown in the UK at this time) were also featured.
