Corgi Toys New James Bond aston Martin.

This is by far the nicest of the Corgi Toys issues of the James Bond Aston Martin. This improved model from around 1968 featured not only the ejector seat, bullet shield and machine guns of the previous issue, but now issued in silver it also featured revolving number plates and Tyre slashers.

The ejector seat could be operated by pressing a button on the bottom side of the car, likewise the machine guns and overrider rams were also operated in the same way,the tyre slashers fitted on both rear wheels needed to be pulled out by hand and the bullet shield was activated by pushing in the exhaust ,finally a sheet of stickers enabled any would be secret agent to change their number plate via a revolving mechanism as in the movie GOLDFINGER.

The playvalue of this model was immense and continued in production in various formats for years, even being reissued in 2 versions in 1995 to celebrate the release of GOLDENEYE,in which 007 was reunited with a DB5
