Board Game Milton Bradley 1964

In 1964 Milton Bradley produced a board game for Voyage to the bottom of the Sea. Illustrated box lid shows a car crashing through the barrier of a coastal road, with two motor bikes in pursuit. A helicopter is hovering overhead, with its passenger brandishing a machine gun. The Seaview is below this having fired a missile which is about to hit the helicopter. Nicely illustrated, but I can’t quite get the connection with going to the bottom of the sea from this drawing. The object of this two-player game is to capture all of your opponent’s submarines. Game comes with sixteen card disks representing submarines, eight blue with a white sub and eight red with a black sub. The board is nicely illustrated with various nautical themes around its edge, while the box inlay is a slightly poorer quality printing of some of these scenes, with a spinner to determine player moves.
